How much does Reach the City cost?
We have designed Reach the City for every church, every size, and every city. And we mean it. Costs always vary depending on your vision and many other factors. However, if your church follows the suggestions in our field manual, the total cost is affordable for every size church!
What is included in the campaign?
A six-week sermon series for the adults, youth, and children! Full scripts, Power Points, and professionally created videos for the adult and children’s series are included. 3 promotional videos you can show your congregation prior to your launch date. A complete small group video series on personal outreach. All of this is included as a digital download for only $297.
We are a small church, can we do RTC? We are a big church, can we do RTC?
Absolutely! Again, every church, every size, and every city is our tagline and we are sticking to it! The smallest church could do Reach the City because the principles of the 1,2,3 Challenge are transferable to any context. The campaign, including the types and costs associated with the outreaches are customizable to your church and community.
How long does it take to do RTC?
The actual campaign is only 6 weeks. An additional 2-4 weeks of planning are recommended.
Will my church grow as a result of RTC?
Your people will definitely grow! Adding numbers to your regular Sunday attendance entirely depends on you and each church context. If your church fully embraces the entire campaign and your people truly commit to reach one unchurched person, then you will certainly see visitors throughout the campaign. Effective follow up and assimilation must then be done to retain these guests. (Our field manual will help you with follow up). Campaigns such as Reach the City, can certainly serve as a catalyst for growth as you incorporate outreach into the culture of your church. As a church-wide campaign, Reach the City aligns every person in your church for the 1,2,3 Challenge.
Jim Dorsey, editor of Grow says this about the structure for success, “The more effective campaigns build on a basic three-fold emphasis: 1) The Inward Disciplines, areas like personal prayer, scripture reading, and/ or memorization; 2) The Outward Disciplines, ministries that involve sharing faith with others or acts of service; and 3) The Corporate Disciplines, the priorities of worship, fellowship or small groups.” As you can see, RTC does all three!
He continues by saying, “The testimony of hundreds of pastors and local congregations would affirm positive results, either in more visitors, conversions, contributions, volunteers, or greater worship attendance. Research shows congregations using these campaigns increase an average of 20% in worship, 59% in small group participation and 20% increase in giving.” Research reaffirms the success of campaigns such as Reach the City! So embrace this journey with excitement!
